I updated the website for 50BookPledge.ca for 2014, making it cleaner and easier to use. As well as choosing a more subtle colour scheme, the layout has changed to correspond to tablets and readers. The logo has also been cleaned up with a crisp and graphic flat design.Created in Illustrator, all coding done by 84North Studios.

:30 spot for After Her by Joyce Maynard. This aired on W Network sometime after the long weekend. Very simple depth creation here with the trees for some of the images and wipes.

:30 spot for The Search Angel by Tish Cohen. This aired across the country this summer on W Network. As you can see I used a lot of stock footage for this and some very cool light bleed transitions

Here’s my entry to the Toronto International Film Festival’s 2013 tshirt contest.

Unfortunately it was not selected as a finalist, but I still think it’s a really striking design that would look great printed out.

:30 spot I put together for Graeme Simsion’s novel The Rosie Project which aired on W Network across Canada this past weekend.

The bright, quirky cover design and the scientific themes of the plot gave me the opportunity to create some bold and graphic animation for this project.

Notable Canadian personalities recite “Alligator Pie” Dennis Lee’s classic children’s poem

This has been long in the works (over a year!) so I’m really glad it’s finally out for everyone to watch. Some of the footage was filmed myself but others were sent in, and I created the opening/closing pieces and stitched everything together in After Effects.

Recently I designed and helped to develop the 2013 50 Book Pledge website including this year’s badge image at the top left of the site.

Booklovers who both want to challenge themselves and keep track of what titles they’ve read over the course of the year can add books to their own personalized shelf, see what their friends are reading, and share their progress.
